A couple of weeks ago, I got a message from my friend Kristin that her and Berto's kid will be turning two on Saturday and that they would love to have some pictures taken of him. I obviously said yes because it gave me a chance to finally meet the guy. Kristin and Berto had just moved back from Dallas so it was also a good excuse to see them as well.
I was given warning that Liam is a bit of a handful considering his age. I wasn't worried...Okay maybe a little bit...
Liam didn't like looking at the camera, so I opted for candid.
Given the time of year, it was unusually warm out so Liam took multiple breaks from running around relentlessly. This was an opportunity to fire off the camera.
Berto had to perform for Liam for most of the shoot. (Great having some company in the sweating department.) I don't know what Berto was doing behind me but judging by Liam's face, it was definitely magic.
Although his energy levels were off the charts, he seemed to find tranquility when he got picked up which made it easier to grab a family photo:
Remember that calm, cool and collected Liam you saw for a couple seconds? Yeah, short-lived. Back to real life!
Liam is an explorer. With a stick in his hand, he's ready to traverse any land, climb any tree, (as long as it is within safe reach from the parents). It was a pleasure to photograph him. I hope Kristin and Berto like these pictures as much as I do. Happy Birthday, Liam and welcome back, gang!
